An energetic mix consumed with Sicilian sun, such a lot of mafia, oranges,
green lemons rubbed on knees of callow young impudent girls.
Butterflys hunting can be a problem exactly as razor on pimpels. Isn’t it? For strong palates

Gruppo?che nasce alla fine del millennio per iniziativa di Francesco Cusa, il quale, dopo anni, finalmente riesce a “trovare” gli elementi mancanti
per la realizzazione di un progetto musicale molto articolato. Si tratta di composizioni che necessitavano di un lungo periodo di lavoro e d’assemblaggio,
per?poter essere compiutamente eseguite dal vivo e registrate in studio.

a serious premonitory book about the actual human and political situation of the all world.
Switters is a Cia agent who’s gone really out of the rules in a seriously freaky way.
Inside the conspiration world that rules most of the political tragedies and events there are cowboys and angels.

Paolo Sorge & the Jazz Waiters?is formed by musicians who
in the past have shared many artistic experiences.
The starting point is the “common language” of jazz,
in the sense of an open music with the ability to gorge and metabolize
also elements which are foreign to it, using the game of improvisation.
The repertory consists of a mix of originals, standards and completely improvised parts.

Quartetto di chiara matrice jazzistica di recente costituzione, in realtà rappresenta l’incontro fra musicisti che già da alcuni anni intrecciano
i loro rispettivi percorsi artistici (Skrunch, Trinkle Trio, Nursery Four).
Il punto di partenza è un insieme di composizioni originali, per lo più forme brevi, utilizzate secondo le convenzioni del linguaggio jazzistico;
il termine jazz viene qui interpretato nell’accezione di musica aperta, ad alto tasso di inclusività,
capace cioè di inglobare e restituire metabolizzati anche elementi (apparentemente) estranei alla stessa musica afro-americana,
comprese le suggestioni del momento che emergono nella spontaneità della performance,
attraverso il gioco dell’improvvisazione. La denominazione del gruppo ed il titolo del progetto, metaforicamente allusive alla buona tavola,
vogliono essere un invito alla degustazione attenta e meditativa del menu musicale proposto, che per sua natura richiede un certo tipo di attenzione ai dettagli.

The Riccardo Pittau Congregation…
è una nascita che coincide con una morte illustre.
Un emissario del Cristo (o se preferite agente della CIA) abbandona l’esistenza terrena nella primavera dello A.D. MMV.
In quel momento sta avendo luogo ad Atlantide (ma alcuni sostengono che trattasi dell Isola dei Feaci) un singolare incontro
tra colui che molti indicano come il nuovo Anticristo (almeno dalle segnalazioni ottenute al “Top Satan”), un monaco zen psicopatico e un diplomatico.
Si ignora lo scopo della loro missione, ma l’evento di questa morte riesce a mandare all’aria i loro piani.
Una bonaccia improvvisa costringe i tre a rimanere bloccati sull’isola; in loro soccorso giungono il Cap. di Fregata Paolo Angeli, e il 2° trombettiere di corte dell’isola.
Rifugiatisi in un bunker segreto il giorno V del mese IV, danno inizio ad un singolare esperimento in cui periranno tutti. Sarà l’inizio della fine.
EPILOGO:
Ci sono diverse testimonianze che sostengono di aver incrociato 5 fantasmi aggirarsi per il pianeta comparendo nei luoghi piùùimpensabili,
e voci non confermate parlano di una nuova unione delle entità.

Si respira tra collisioni elettroniche e groove ipnotici, in un continuo “psychosurfing” sulle composizioni del tastierista e leader Federico Squassabia.
Con lui Stefano Senni, uno dei migliori contrabbassisti italiani, in grado di spaziare dal mainstream all’avant-jazz,
e il batterista Francesco Cusa, figura oramai di riferimento dell’avanguardia italiana.
Energia pura, quindi, come unica forma o, semplicemente, nessuna forma: psychopostrock? Avantjazz? Psychodance?
Meglio dire “piedi di fango che ronzano, fischiettano, urlano. Sono zanzare elettriche, corde e pelli graffiate. Tra nebbie e bucce di limoni.”

I got the idea for this music after having directed several workshops in Italy and abroad with musicians of different levels and background.
The excellent results of this ‘method’ made me curious to try to it out with more experienced musicians.
It was a challenge to concentrate a workshop, which usually takes one week, in only two days.
My approach may be called ‘conduction’, a non conventional way of conducting,
in which the written score and the notes are replaced by customized symbols.
Nothing new, and new though. So, I called some twenty Sicilian musicians and…
one Sardinian for a recording session in Scordia, in the safe hands of Vincenzo Cavalli.
Under the participating musicians are many friends and musical colleagues of mine.
Some of them join me in ‘Improvvisatore Involontario’.
I was moved by all the enthusiastic reactions from Palermo, Ragusa, Siracusa and Catania.
To my opinion, it worked out very well, thanks to this heterogeneous ensemble.
The group not only consists of jazz musicians, but also of musicians with another background
and even talented computer programmers and lawyers that usually reside in offices and courtrooms only because of their dark perversions.
It’s obvious that an undertaking like this, unconsciously, has brought to light the remarkable creativity of the Sicilian improvisers.
I would like to thank all of them.
