12 Oct – 31 Dec 06 | Sensorium Part I: Embodied Experience, Technology, and Contemporary Art – List Visual Arts Center, MIT, Cambridge, Massachusetts, US

The first public presentation in North America of Ryoji Ikeda’s architectural audiovisual installation, Spectra II, features in a key exhibition at the List Visual Arts Center of Massachusetts Institute of Technology. The installation relies on the intersection of sound and architecture and continues Ikeda’s interest in phenomena – be they light, tone or sound – and how they materialise and manifest themselves in the world.

Turning – Antony and the Johnsons with Charles Atlas

31 Oct & 1 Nov 06  | Auditorium Parco della Musica, Romaeuropa Festival 2006, Rome, IT
4 & 5 Nov 06 | Barbican Hall, London, UK

Turning combines the haunting and dramatic music of Antony and the Johnsons with a vivid visual backdrop provided by award-winning film director and video artist Charles Atlas.

Bringing together Atlas’ innovative live video processing and Antony’s vocal stylings, which have been compared to the likes of Nina Simone and Lotte Lenya, Turning explores issues of innocence, metamorphosis, and transcendence in a visually dramatic and highly compelling format.

Tickets are on sale now.
